# 4iiii + wahoo idle battery drain?

My 4iiii precision 3+ power meter has started draining battery while idle recently. When I replace the battery it works fine, but then a day or two later: battery measurably empty. When I keep the battery out it works like normal when I put it back in. Now last time I paired the power meter I accidentally connected to my girlfriends’ 4iiii with my Bolt 3 and that has now started draining in the same way, while it was fine before that (she uses a different bike computer brand). Has anyone experienced any issues with their 4iiii power meters recently or is it just us?
note: there have been no 4iiii firmware updates in the past few months and both power meters are on the latest version.

I have a 4iiii Precision pm as well and also have the Bolt3. I can’t say with any confidence that I’ve noticed a battery drain but I do know that I replace the battery on it far more regularly than most other things. To be fair though, I had the same issue with a Stages pm and that was pre-Bolt3.
I’m guessing that pm’s just suck up a lot of power. Curious to hear what others experiences have been though or from The Compnay.
