Hey all, I don’t think this is my Kickr '18 but I also don’t know what it is.

I’ve thoroughly cleaned the chain and it is well lubed. I’ve removed, cleaned and lubed the jockey wheels. The cassette is also clean. I’ve even swapped pedals. The squeak doesnt happen when coasting, or pedalling in reverse. It is clearly coming from the rear, and becomes more noticeable when in the 50 ring on front, and one of the smaller cogs on the rear

Sounds too quick to be pedals / cleats interface. Seals on BB?
Saddle rails?

Does it only happen near bottom of the block?

It is very distinctly coming from/at the rear mech. I can get it to squeak when shifting between the 2 smallest cogs. It is not on every rotation. Literally everything has been removed, cleaned and relubed but still I get this squeak.

Bike to trainer interface? There was quite a bit of movement as you first started. Couldn’t see the trainer moving but your bike was.

The sound made me think of pulley wheels., as I once had a similar sound until I took them apart and cleaned them twice. Perhaps when shifting or in certain COG positions the chain puts a load slightly different on the top pulley. In addition to cleaning the pulleys you might check the alignment of the pulleys to the cogs.

Even though I had cleaned and relubed the jockey wheels just a short while ago, and this is an indoor only bike, some hair musta got in as the g-pulley was squeaking on the repair stand when I’d removed the tension pulley to clean it again, and gave the cranks a spin on the stand. 🤦🏼‍♂️ 🤦🏼‍♂️ 🤦🏼‍♂️

Removed and re-cleaned and lubed the g-pulley again and this seems to have eliminated the issue.

Thanks all!

Sometimes I get a little squeak coming from my rear too, but I think it has more to do with my pre-ride meal than anything to do with the bike. Just sayin’
