Anyone else ever have this happen? I was 17 miles into a 25 mile ride on my Kickr bike when I lost the ability to shift. I could not shift up on descents nor down on climbs. And this ride had a long series of both to finish the ride. I was not is a great gear. The only way to get speed on the descents was to spin at well over 100rpm and on the 5%+ climbs, I had way to much gear on and I had to struggle standing to get over them. When I finished, I could not stop the flywheel with the breaks since none of the electronics were working. I had to unplug the bike to get everything shut down.

I did plug it back in and did a short cooldown, which seems to work fine. I just don’t know if this was just a fluke or a portent of things to come. Any ideas??? TIA

Well… the sarcastic answer would be to go back to mechanical but that would be irrelevant to the point of non sequitur. I have a Bike Shift and have never experienced that. Hope you can figure out what’s up. I guess the most basic question is how many miles or kilometers are on it and how many years old? These things do wear out like everything else.

EDIT ADD: From the post, I’m inclined to think you were in Level mode - yes?
