Mandatory update of RGT today : SYSTM WORKOUTS NOW INTEGRATED

Today = “Afternoon, CET”
You’ll be forced to update RGT
So, take the time to do it “calmly” before any forecast ride this week
Cheers !
T.

In terms of features we know that the devs were working on

  • fixing the lag when riding in a large event with many Radio-users
  • changing the bot “swerving” behaviour ← but this should be “server-side” so I don’t think that the behavior would change “just thanks to the update”

And a new map : the seaside section of Dunoon (we already had the hilly side around Dunoon)

It’s free to ride currently, along with Leuven

Brilliant update in my opinion, rgt is improving again

Great to see another update. However, I’m disappointed to see that there is still no steering support for the Stages SB (even though the stagesplay developer has done it 2 months ago). Besides, I am not sure to understand why i would want lose the brilliant systm workout experience (such as on location or proride) to ride them on rgt… So once again, this update leaves me wondering how features are prioritized…

I’m with you, as a general rule, about riding workouts in a sim. I tried doing them in Zwift and nearly fell off my trainer from TTBS.

That said, there are lots of folks who like to ride workouts they’ve done many times before in No Vid mode, or otherwise enjoy doing workouts in a simulated road environment rather than watching the SYSTM vids.

As for steering and other issues, I’m sure the team is well aware of them and working hard to resolve them as quickly as possible with the few dev resources they have.

Also, welcome to the forums @J3R fingers crossed they get your particular thing sorted soon.

RGT is exclusively what I use for indoor rides. I need some kind of world to look at (Youtube doesn’t do it) and many SYSTM videos end up making me nauseous. There is no one way to do workouts that works for everyone, so allowing it in RGT opens it up for more people.

Also, you can use the rubberband and do Workouts in a group with other riders, whatever their FTP (or rather : whatever their 4DP profile  )

@jcolp Agreed - definitely like the variety - choice of scenery and can do workouts with friends or choice of bots. This update looks great!

Ah yes, I am aware of that. I know some people LOVE that kind of thing but it has never been my jam. I’ve always preferred to suffer alone. It’s what got me hooked on The Sufferfest back in 2015 and it’s why I can never leave  #twaaw. I’m not saying I won’t use RGT. In fact, as soon as The Company purchased RGT I permanently dumped my Zwift sub. I just haven’t used it a lot but it’s outdoor season for me now and where I live that is mercilessly short.

Excellent!! Well done all who worked on it, this is a great addition to RGT. I’ve a big block of novids on the calendar currently and this will be a great way to do them! Looking forward to trying it out.

Ok, accepting that I am not the most adept with RGT, please help me out. Where do i find the Systm rides in RGT. I see the Workouts page above, but have no idea how to get to that. Also, if possible, how do I access a Systm workout to do as an event?

I have updated the app and did a sync of my 4DP.

You have to start a ride and at the bottom of the screen there are a few options (can’t remember what sorry) but one is workouts, click on that and you’ll see the workouts, not sure how to do the group rides part

I’m going to have a play around with workouts on the new dunoon course later so if I find anything more that’ll help I’ll post here

@Critmark Support pages are already updated to reflect latest changes, you should find your answer there → https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/4855679964690-Workouts

Sorry but I don’t know what this means. When I log on I have JUST RIDE (which gives me rides that I can join of which there were 14 at this moment), EVENTS (which gives me events someone else scheduled or the ability to create an event), I can join the preloaded event which today is Dunoon Seafront Circuit), or a few learning links (today What’s New, Find out more about Wahoo RGT or View Pursuit of Pink).

No offense intended to the developers, but this is the least intuitive program I have used in the past decade. And unfortunately, they tend to post screen shots without any instruction on how to get to those.

These are just two of MANY reasons I am not a fan of this platform. I would like to be. I am trying. Many riders here have been very patient and helpful trying to resolve issues. But I am still at the point that if I had to give RGT grade, it would be a D.

You can start a ride by going to “JUST RIDE” and choosing where you want to ride.

If you click on any of the course in just ride, you should then have the option to start ride (Ride now)

Then you should have the options once this has loaded for workouts

Then if you click on workouts you’ll get to the workouts screen, just pick the one you want and click start workout

Hope that helps (I’m not the best at explaining things clearly)

@Tmw4 thanks Tim, I got there from these directions. As I said, not intuitive at all that you have to start a ride you don’t want to do to get to the library of rides you you do want to do.

Now my second question which I asked above. If I want to schedule an event, do I have access to this library or is it just on demand and no ability to use these rides for a race or group ride?

As for the second question I have no idea sorry.
