Morning, Afternoon or Night

Typically, I train the morning. However, on Sunday, I usually train in the afternoon. Not sure if it’s just coincidence or not, but my performance seems worse on Sunday. I’m wondering if there’s anything to this observation. I know in the workplace some are more people are more productive earlier in the day and others later.

Well…

I’ve noticed that if I do the session in the evening instead of in the morning, my HR is noticeably lower and my perceived exertion is less too.

I’m not a morning person.

Time of day matters. Sometimes I run early in the morning before work after 4am. Then my heart rate is higher than the same training unit in the afternoon.
