I assume this trainer will be supported, yes?

It acts as a normal indoor trainer, so supported on non-Wahoo stuff as well as Wahoo.

I bought a Snap recently and it’s been working great with SYSTM and RGT 👌

One thing worth knowing… there’s a hidden Factory Spindown in the Wahoo app (different to the regular Spindown). It’s worth doing that once. Mine was reading about 20w low until I did the Factory Spindown. Matches real close with my crank PM now though.

Edit: you get to the hidden menu by clicking here 10 times:

Thank you. I was being a bit smart-alecky. A few years ago I purchased a Cycle-Ops PowerBeam Pro trainer and even though it was on the Sufferfest’s list of supported trainers, to my surprise, it actually wasn’t supported, hence my “I assume this trainer will be supported, yes?” comment😉

Great. Thank you. One thing, I assume I will still need to use an external cadence sensor, yes?

Correct, it just provides power and speed. Cadence is up to you.

Even for some direct drive trainers the cadence you get from them can be not the best at certain power, so personally I use a Wahoo cadence sensor with my Saris H3 toooooo.

Thank you. That is what I was figuring since it said that it provides power and speed but didn’t mention cadence. Good thing I already have a Wahoo speed/cadence sensor already in use.

</div>

Yeah. Trainers estimate cadence by power pulses, which can be erratic at high cadences and low torque. A dedicated cadence sensor will be better and quicker to respond.

I think the Tacx Neo trainers actually detect the left crank’s rotation. I had a ton of cadence issues early on until some people here or elsewhere mentioned that bikes with longer chainstays can be a problem for those trainers. Sure enough I use a MTB on my trainer, and the cadence issues were resolved by Tacx sending me a metal shank and a couple rubber bands to extend the crank a bit to improve detection. It still goes wonky sometimes at lower cadences, but much better than it was.
