Power Station 3rd Remaster?

Has Power Station been re, re-remastered again? I went to add it to my calendar and it’s telling me that there is a new version available to download. I had previously downloaded the 2nd remastered version but it’s now telling me that there is a new version available. I don’t remember seeing anything about a third remaster but I could have missed it as I haven’t been very active in the forums as of late.

Not sure how many times it’s been remastered. I rode it in october, without downloading any new video, it was still the Pinot version. Then I completed the november challenge 3 times this month, and it’s the Yates-Almeida-Staune-Mittet version. No update requested this month.

It has. It’s hard to keep up in that thread since it got derailed a bit :innocent:

@Glen.Coutts So, ok, it has been remastered for a third time (re-re-remastered)?

I can’t say how many times. I haven’t done it myself in a yak’s age. Based on that thread tho, you did, and your feedback was mostly positive.

Perhaps it’s had some minor updates. Typo corrections, that sort of thing. I did the re-remastered version last week and enjoyed it.

@sir_james.p Do you find the re-re-remastered version a bit “harder” than the original version? The last “wall” was always a bit tough but doable but the last couple of times that I’ve done the remastered versions I’m literally finding myself to have nothing left in the tank for the last wall which, is very odd, because I usually excel at the low cadence stuff. Odd.

It’s a long time since I did the original (2020 looking at by history!) and didn’t do the first remaster, so I can’t be sure. I did find that last wall very hard but was able to finish it.

Did the original or the 2020 edition well Nibali, Quintana and Contador with the last Wall being the FF to the top then Rewind which was supposed to be 2 mins but is actually 2:45 after only 60 seconds recovery instead of the usual 90 secs recoveries previously between Walls.

Haven’t been here long enough to know but I think the green gimp guy at the end is super hilarious. I cracked on the last wall. Need to redo FTP to see where i’m at.

EDIT: I did finish, but had a couple of frozen leg moments on last interval that dropped the resistance so I could pick it back up. So… yup - i failed.

Have you checked the power values in previous attempts ? That should show the power targets, as well as your actual power and the 4DP active at the time.

Yes. It went from great (original) to lame; did it as part of the November challenge and appreciated the remaster.
Anyone else get a weird “Zone” for the last wall? As it stepped up on wall 11, the final zone dropped back to Z3.

Yates stops accelerating to bring back Almeida with him to the finish line, so it makes sense that this is “easier” than the beginning of the wall. And it’s good for the legs at this point

Wait, are all the remastered videos (barring Clobber) just Yates in the tour du Suisse? I’ve not done power station yet, but already done 2 vids with that race in the last 3-4 weeks.
