Wow.
I mean yay - focus is back on structured workouts (SUF?), and writing was kind of on the wall, but wow.
Man those settlement talks must’ve been something. Oh to be a fly on that wall.

But I don’t want Zwift Can I just have my money back instead, please?
Didn’t see that coming. I didn’t use RGT a lot, and much prefer the Wahoo X side of it, so I’m glad it’s staying and more focus going into it. Assuming that’s the case!
Hope there will be an option to push workouts to Zwift to do them on there if desired. No mention of that yet.
I thought urk then re-read it - free 1 year Zwift. Not bad! (even if I don’t like it much - free is free and might give me time to discover its better sides…
1 year? I only got offered 3 months!!
Wondering if maybe Z**** gets some of the IP for stuff RGT did well?
I MAY take a look just for giggles (and free) but I’m not a gamification fan. Z**** has never appealed to me.
Oh god…next year’s tour. Are we going to have to ride in Z****topia, or WTH they call their not-Sufferlandria?
Sad…
so indieVelo, everyone?
Never used RGT yet and not a fan of video games. However, I do like the focus on Wahoo’s core theme of of Structured Training Content. If they can focus on the stuff that attracted me to Sufferfest in the first place, it might not be so bad. Wahoo had obviously spread itself a little too thinly and needs to get back to its core activity. IWBMATTKYT
Yup.
It is not really free unless you are at the of your Wahoo subscription.
The thing I liked best about RGT was MagicRoads. Will Zwift be starting those soon? Very disappointing news - tho I am still glad to see the commitment to SYSTM.
Yes, me too… Can’t say I am sorry that RGT is going but TBH it was a pain in the arse to set up, to use and it was a boring as hell. I appreciate that others will be severely peed off but concentrating on the training side is a 10 for me.
I tried RGT a few times and never took to it. I remember the download SUF days and am glad they are focusing on structured Wahoo X side of things versus going all in on RGT. I’ve never been a Z**** fan, so I doubt I’ll be using it much.
This has got to be good and answer the many rumours in light of recent departures:
“There will be continued improvements to functionality and content to give you even better value, plus more immersive, integrated, structured workouts designed by world-class coaches using cutting-edge sports science to use indoors or outdoors - including cycling, yoga, strength & mobility, running, swimming, and mental training.”
I got 30 days of Sufferfest. Which I’m already paying for!
Z*****topia, is that Zootopia? I watched that with my daughter, it was great. That would make an interesting location for training.
How to lose your customers! Huge push on RGT. Shift to steer which did not work out. Tell everyone it is going to stay as it makes it so much better and then watch the users leave. Allow riders and clubs to take over organisation of events for the winter and then close RGT meaning those events are cancelled or move. Tell everyone you are getting a free Zwift subscription, despite the fact you have paid for System including RGT and then stopped providing the service that you have paid for. You have paid to get that “free” subscription, but I guess it is better than getting zeroed. What I don’t understand is why Wahoo do not understand that this has an impact to the rest of the business. If it does this to RGT what about Sufferfest? How long until we get an email saying that is no longer covered? And watches, well if those are not selling will those be stopped and no updates given? And Wahoo app, does that just disappear one month? Those are the questions you ask yourself when you read emails like the one sent today. Alas poor all round….despite the writing being on the wall.
I really feel for the employees of this company. They have been sent down the garden path so many times. Sad day for them and those that created RGT.
Can I get a refund for my Kickr Steer?
Exactly….this announcement turns you away from Wahoo……and I did not like STEER and did not buy one. I think if I bought one, I would be furious.
