RGT North America Tuesday Nite racing series (6pm Pacific)

Newish name, same bat-time! I’m taking over from @Dan_Connelly to run North America’s only weeknight RGT race series. Since I’m not California-based, we’re expanding to feature famous (and totally ordinary) routes from across the continent.

I’d like to learn more about who is participating or interested in participating, so thanks in advance for taking a short survey about this series.

For the first edition, we’ll be headed to Charm City and take in two laps of the Maryland Cycling Classic’s downtown Baltimore circuit. This is the only top-level UCI race currently held in the U.S. and was won last weekend by Lidl-Trek’s Mattias Skjelmose. The route has many tight turns and some gentle rollers so is perfect for some tactical racing. Hope to see you online!

Tomorrow night at 6pm Pacific we head to the home state of newly crowned Vuelta champion Sepp Kuss. Except we won’t be racing in his backyard; instead we’ll be in mine. This week’s race will be rolling 3 laps in north Colorado Springs starting at my high school home, heading up to Liberty High School (go Lancers) and winding back through the neighborhood to complete the circuit.

Though RGT can’t simulate 6900’ of elevation, the constantly rolling course will still leave you gasping for air.

Tuesday! Tuesday! Tuesday!.. er… Mardi! Mardi! Mardi!

Tomorrow night we head to Québec for 2 laps of the circuit of the GP Québec, won this year by Arnaud de Lie and his rocket-powered Ridley. With a course that winds up and down the bluff overlooking the St-Laurent river, this is a fun and tough course.
