North America Tue Niter
6 pm Pacific time, 9 pm Eastern
20 km, more or less
The last night in October, which means the last night of RGT, and the last Tue Niter!
Our Halloween edition and final ode to RGT is a 20 km, hilly circuit in Sleepy Hollow New York, starting and finishing at the sculpture of the Headless Horseman.
Unlike most other races in the North America Tue Niter series, this is not a course which has been used in top-level racing, but rather is a route I designed exclusively for Tue Niter use.
So this is your last chance whether you’re an RGT regular or RGT-curious. No subscription required.
Next week we can all go to racing on Zwift or Indie Velo or MyWhoosh or wherever… RIP RGT.
Thanks for putting this together @Dan_Connelly. It was good to be able to join you for this one last RGT ride. Great work on the Halloween imagery in the route.
This was a great course for a final ride. Tough punchy slopes in the first half and long false flat drags to really make you work. The way the course wound around led RGT to render the elevation changes on the horizon really well which is a bittersweet taste of how much better MRs could have been with some investment.
Alas, the Grim Reaper has come for us in the end but many thanks to @Dan_Connelly and all the other enthusiasts who made so many interesting events.
Thanks, Tyler, for your leadership keeping the Tue Niter series running for at least a few extra months. It was a lot of fun. It will be interesting to see if someone else picks up the magic road baton and runs with it, hopefully allowing for additional customization than the very limited options RGT provided.
