2nd Jsampson, the OEM Shimano ones are quite soft, so wear quicker.
It’s the trade off between better shifting and longevity.
For now get what you can that fits the crank, otherwise will wreck the new chain and block

I was checking those sites, but not seeing what I wanted. One of them didn’t even list a 53t ring as an available ring size at all.
So on a whim I googled shimano ultegra 6700 53t ring and found a website that had one and also my LBS had them in stock! So, I quickly ordered one.
Until it arrives I’ll just stick to riding on my small ring in erg mode like I have been. Maybe it’ll arrive in the mail before next Friday.
Got my new Big Ring 2 weeks ago. I was just 3 days out from my anniversary KOS attempt, so I didn’t want to switch it out and mess things up for my attempt. I waited to change it out. Then I took this week off after my attempt so I finally changed it out this weekend after Thanksgiving.
I replaced it without taking my cranks off. Only 1 screw was hidden by the left crank, but I had a 90 degree bit that I was able to connect to get it off and back on even with my manual screwdriver and torque wrench.
After replacing a did a couple shifts by hand. I wasn’t that impressed as it didn’t want to catch on the new ring while I was slowly spinning the cranks by hand.
But this morning I got on the bike and tested it out and it worked great! I didn’t do any full-out sprinting, but I was able to shift around and stand up with power and get up over 700w without the chain slipping off the big ring at all. Guess I’ll have to do FF this week to put it through its paces.
@emacdoug You may want to use a thread locker on the bolts - such as Locktite blue. it isn’t permanent like the red version and will keep the bolts in place and help avoid a bent ring.
