Another year, another holiday about to finish.
Why are holiday ‘last days’ so sad.

Any how … finished the holiday with a pre breakfast Sufferfest of the highest order, then a lovely family ride (in the ‘colours’ !!) with my daughter for some lunch … no photos from the first as I’d never tried a 40km ‘TT’ before … but a few from the second

I’ve been spending a lot of time in the woods so I recently picked up the 2021 Trek Procaliber 9.6. Possibly the most photogenic bike I’ve ever owned! LOL

To match with my contribution to the videos thread, Jon’s calamitous attempts to cycle outdoors continue…

This weekend past I went cycling with the family. We found a small MTB track which my little boy started to play on. I was on my road bike (which often gets ridden off-road in completely unsuitable environments) and I did a few laps, but didn’t really want to do any jumps on that.
My daughter, who is the elder of my two kids, was on a mountain bike but didn’t want to ride the circuit, so I borrowed her bike for a few laps.

Having got the feel for her bike I decided to do a few jumps, then went to do a big jump and was going to use my cleats to lift the back wheel around in the air…
Having completely forgotten that this was her bike, not one of mine and it had a set of metal flats, not my clipless pedals. I jumped, went to pull straight up and sideways with my feet, which just lifted away from the pedals.
I proceeded to land with my legs on the floor straight in front of the pedals, which then dug into the backs of my legs…

I’m quite talented at this cycling lark!

If there’s one thing better in fall than in any other season it’s the calm of a sunrise over the fields in the mornings mist.

Yesterday I came across a village which I suppose must be Grunter von Agony’s hometown. It’s called Daleiden what roughly translates"suffer here". It’s in the beautiful region of the borders between Belgium, Germany and Luxemburg. The steep ascents made me suffer though.

These photos are from a couple of years ago at the 2018 Bourbon Country Burn in Kentucky. The top photo is my buddy and I. The second photo is with a guy who rode with me after a car thought it would squeal its brakes behind me and run me off the rode.
