Originally from Canada, I established a career in dance as an independent dance artist in New York City (1998-2010) embedded in a ‘downtown’ dance community dancing, improvising, and teaching for a diverse group of artists. I was lucky to perform nationally and internationally during that time with the support of key NYC dance organisations and with the company Dietz Marchant Performance Projects (a collaboration with Lindsey Dietz Marchant).
My favourite rides when I lived in NYC were loops of Central Park and riding over the George Washington bridge and turning right!
In 2010 I decided to undertake further study completing an Honours (2011) and Doctor of Philosophy (2019) in performance studies at the University of Sydney. With the PhD finished, I’m enjoying taking advantage of the great cycling Melbourne has to offer, suffering whenever I can, as I look for my next adventure.
