New bike, new discipline, lot to learn.
Single speed, full rigid. Brutal.
It does happen every now and again
Rigid SS MTB! I like your style.
Southern Sweden (Skåne) during the early summer - not a lot of hills but a relentless wind almost always!
Oh Banff! When will I see you again!
I like the occasional ride on our local cycle/pathways but have got another “thing” to be wary of - grocery delivery robots!!
I’ve seen several people posting ride pics from Banff. Where are you riding? I grew up in Calgary and always thought it would be dangerous to be on the Trans Canada or the 1A. Where else is there to ride?
I drove the route between Banff and Jasper but wish I could have cycled it instead, especially Banff-Lake Louise. Beautiful.

The first 25ish k out of banff on the 1a is currently closed to vehicles due to construction. The rest of 1A is quieter than usual due to covid. Had I started a bit earlier and ate properly beforehand I might have gone on to Lake Louise. It was a nice ride as it was and I had enough left over today to do the legacy trail and a bit
Giving a shout out to Maine!

Hmm. Phone uploading didn’t paste the photo directly but inserted a link instead. What’s the right way to post a direct photo from an Android phone?
canola?
Correct, sometimes called “raps” in Swedish.
I just used the photo icon on the right, it took me to an option of camera or files, and from my files I found the photos and selected the ones I wanted. it does look a little weird on the phone but it didn’t create a link. are they particularly massive sized photos?
Well it is an uncompressed image from the phone so it’s pretty big.
I tried it again after downloading it from FB.
Well what do you know? It works from the PC (just not from the phone)
@janis.denning, part of the 1A between Banff and Lake Louise is closed right now to traffic - plus the Minnewanka loop is always a nice ride too!
