Wahoo Forum on Android

Is it just me, or anyone else getting a message that Chrome needs to be installed when they try opening Wahoo Forum as an App? Chrome, current version, already installed on my phone. Tried ‘Install’ but App just reset. Cleared App cache and data, still the same. Deleted Wahoo Forum App, to attempt a re-install. However, no Wahoo Forum App showing in Play Store.

I’ve logged in via Win 11 on my PC and I can get access via browser on Android. I previously had the App ‘Wahoo Forum’, more convenient than browser! Can’t remember how I installed it originally.

I have a shortcut on my Android phone called Wahoo Forum created as shown in this Google help text. Not really an app, but it looks and feels a bit like an app.

Discourse is the app that the forum is hosted on. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.discourse&hl=en

Paul, thanks for that tip, I managed to restore Wahoo Forum with look and feel as an App.

This method was new to me, I don’t recall doing this for previous install. After a bit of research, found that some developers create links that do this automatically.

I can only assume the problem arose because I temporarily changed default browser from Chrome to Edge?

Glen Coutts, thanks for reaching out, it wasn’t Discourse. See post below, a strange Chrome feature that creates an App!

Looks like you got it sorted, but you needed Chrome because the app from a website feature is actually a part of Chrome on Android.

Intervals.icu works the same way.

Problem possibly caused due to temporary change to a different web browser.
