The feature of my Elemnt Roam V1 that shows my progress through a climb is nice in principle, but there seems to be lots of room to improve its accuracy with regard to exactly where I am in the climb. On several rides in hilly terrain the Roam showed at least a few climbs as starting when I was clearly still on flat terrain and congratulated me on reaching the summit when I had anywhere from 100 - 500 m of a pretty stiff grade ahead of me.
I’m blaming the Roam here, but I’ll allow that I should also consider if the quality of the maps are at fault. I’ve been using routes that I’ve either downloaded or created myself using Ride with GPS.
Has anyone else noticed this effect with the Roam or Bolt cycle computers?
