Issues with 12-speed cassette

Hi,

I replaced the 11-speed cassette that comes with the Wahoo V6 for the same one that i have on my Giant Advanced Pro 0 which is a 12-speed. I thought it would work seamlessly but there is a clunky gritty noise when im in the higher and lower gears.

Please cab someone help!?

@Jamie_Hancock You may need to tighten the cassette further, remove a spacer or perhaps just make a barrel adjustment. I believe the cassette has a torque specification so check for that.

I need to find the right sokets that will fit my lockring tool.

Regarding the removal of spacers, there are two that i could remove that come with the cassette. Won’t this damage the cassette?

What do you mean by barrell adjustment? I’ve tried indexing the gears, im not sure if it’s the same thing. It’s ultegra Di2.

@Jamie_Hancock I was referring to a spacer that may be behind the cassette. You probably don’t need one given 12 speed.

@Jamie_Hancock Yes - you may need to index but start with tightening the cassette 1st to the correct torque setting.

Even with the same cassettes on my bike and trainer I need to re-index my gears because they don’t line up exactly the same. The trainer doesn’t flex the same as my frame when I tighten the quick-release.
