NEW RELEASE! Wahoo Fitness Metrics! ⚡️

@Mark_Gee You can change FTP manually in the Wahoo App if you don’t want to take a fitness test. You can also set zones for cycling, running and heart rate.

If I do a(n imported) Systm workout in Zwift, is the DTL estimated or properly calculated (if the former then that’d be an argument against doing them in Zwift).

Also, any plans to include HR into the training load at some point…?

Yes, I did an imported workout in zwift a few days ago, and the dtl was estimated.

Now that I’m back riding consistently on SYSTM it’s good to see my Metrics trending upwards still probably nowhere near where I was in 2020/21 still 40 watts down on my then FTP but slowly building back up while trying to juggle running and cycling but moving back to SYSTM has certainly made me feel like I need to be more consistent than riding on either Rouvy, Zwift or Fulgaz.

Just did 2 rides tonight on Zwift not very long just to see if they updated the Wahoo Metrics and they did, connected Wahoo to Zwift first, I didn’t have Zwift connected to Strava, it is now so if it causes interference with the metrics I’ll just go back to unlinking Zwift to Strava and just upload the Fit File afterwards.

If you have both Strava and Zwift linked to Wahoo and/or SYSTm and to each other there shouldn’t be any issues as both Strava and Wahoo have de-duping which will compare incoming activities and merge or show only one.

@Helga are you able to help. I have checked all the permissions as discussed above but for some reason I am not getting DTL for zwift rides. I am for a SYSTM workout done in zwift but not a zwift ride, despite them having power and cadence data. As per screen shot below.

This is a nice feature, which would be even better if we could add non SYSTM workouts in. For example, I’ve lifted legs twice this week and there is no way to take this into account. It would be great if there was a way to add in a workout by free text into the calendar to schedule it and then mark it completed. Even if the user had to estimate a TSS or other number it would increase its value. That said, I am using the feature and find it useful.

SYSTM is connected to the Wahoo app using the Wahoo cloud history of all Wahoo activities. So you can record your weight session on any wearable smartwatch and record it using the Wahoo app, and then it would show in your SYSTM history.

Also, you can connect Strava to send activities to Wahoo. So that will send any activity that you have in Strava to the Wahoo history which will also show up in SYSTm as well:

So that’s really actually already possible.

Thanks. I have an Apple Watch. Now I just need to figure out how to connect it to the Wahoo App.

I would definitely recommend Strava. I didn’t have an Strava account before, but I’ve now created one for free. It allows me to sync my Polar watch and Wahoo without any problems.

Yes. You can create activities with your Apple Watch just using the watch and your phone. Then you can link Apple Health to Strava. And link Strava to Wahoo. Than your Apple Watch activities will automatically transfer around thru Strava to Wahoo.
