Hey all. I just got a brand new Kickr Bike v2. It has a ratcheting/clicking noise in the drive area (under the plastic cover). This noise happens when the left side pedal goes through from about 2 o’clock through to about 9 o’clock (so nearly 50% of the pedal stroke. The noise occurs powered, un-powered, on the bike or off the bike, with weight on the pedals and/or when turned by hand. It is a click, click, click, click noise which is quite loud. It sounds like a ratchet clicking.
I’ve put a video of the sound online - https://youtube.com/shorts/8x6pnAuW1tw?feature=share
Supports advice was to check the tension on the seatpost and standover height adjuster???
Hey @Nick_Clark sorry to hear that. Sounds like the crank on the right is touching the housing and the sound is created when something rubs against the ribbed surface of the drive cover.
Did you use the washes when installing the pedals? That would be an easy fix.
Cheers, Tako
Thanks for the reply. Definately not the cranks rubbing. I have used the washers for the pedals too
Sh_t. Sorry, no other idea. Struggling with the hardware is not the kind of suffering we need. Hope you get further help from the Wahoo support. But welcome to the forum anyways. Usually a good place for troubleshooting.
Hopefully I get some better help from Support. When I get the answer, I’ll post it here.

In case anybody reads this thread and has the same issue… Support still has not responded but I found the source of the noise. I really can’t describe it well but have added a photo.
I took the non-drive side cover off. Behind one of the internal covers, there are two sheathed cables that run beside each other. There is also a plastic lip that was separating the two cables. The cable closest to the non-drive side was vibrating with the ratchet noise. If I push it to the other side of the plastic lip, it resolves the ratchet noise. I suspect that the plastic lip is to hold both cables toward the drive side, but for some reason, my cables were split either side of the lip.
Hard to explain, I know. In the picture, I am pointing to the cover that the two cables and plastic lip are behind. I couldn’t see them, only feel them. I hope this helps somebody else in the future.
