Tdf Femmes 2026

Who are you rooting for?? The field is stacked with so many choices for GC. My top three are Demi, Pauline, Anna vdB, with Kasia, Paula B and Naomi Ruegg rounding out the next three. It’s going to be a competitive and exciting race. No spoilers as I’m watching Stage 1 right now.

I would love to see Kasia Niewadoma-Phinney, Demi Vollering, Pauline FerrandPrevot in a really close top spot GC fight.

My favorite is FerrandPrevot (apologies for surely many misspelled names in my post), every since watching her take Olympic mtb gold I am a fan. Pure Sufferlandrian elements of style at work. Can’t forget, on the JumboVisma side of things, that I really enjoy watching Marianne Vos so I’m hoping she busts out and steals at least one stage, or two.

That said I never tire of watching Lorena Wiebes sprint. What a monster sprinter!

It will be really interesting to see how the race ends up being held given all of the fires.

I’m hoping it stays close until the last stage when they go up Mount Ventoux even though the last stage in the mens was fantastic the last week was just a bit of a damp squib if there is less than a minute possible even 2 between the top 5 women going into the last 2 days it would make it a much more interesting final.

I’ll go with Spanish phenom, Paula Blasi. She’ll stay under the radar until the Mont Ventoux stage, where she will light it up and take the Yellow Jersey for keeps.

No particular reason, but would love to see a Vollering+Niewiadoma style blisteringly thin margin repeat. That was such an intense stage to watch. It was for me the reverse of watching Fignon/Lemond back in the 89 (I saw the replay on ABC’s Wide World of Sports when I was 26). Lemond wondering if he had won vs. Niewiadoma scraping for every conceivable second. Awesome racing… After a Tadej-fest of the July version, hoping for more of a race in August.

EDIT: I am rooting for Vollering (but she’s been kind of anonymous so far).

Just a minor clarification: the Ventoux Climb is at the end of stage 7, so two more stages after that

Fantastic stage and win! It’s been such an exciting race, each and every stage, even though my picks are wack. :face_holding_back_tears:

Agreed! Great competition for the yellow jersey!
I can only watch highlights after it’s over, but in reality I suppose I wouldn’t have the time to see each full stage.
Hoping to watch a full stage(s) this weekend if I can find a way.

I just wish the Peacock coverage was more. Coming into each stage less than halfway is a disservice to women’s cycling. Don’t know if the coverage is longer in other areas but today’s only a little over 2 hours. :-1:t3:

Now this TDF Femmes is a bike race! Much more exciting than the TDF was IMHO.

I don’t know if you have seen or not but there are apparently talks in the works for complete television coverage from start line to finish line.

agree with RoseYarrow that the coverage is a bit a$$, especially compared to the men’s coverage – e.g., the break of 2 (Trek and UAE) how and how long ago did that happen (?), etc. clearly, someone isn’t willing to pay for the luxury of start-to-finish coverage. but I’ll take it. today’s action was again awesome. honestly after yesterday i’ve changed loyalties from one rider to another, but today took me back to my original choice… AND the youtube interviews of the women are SO SO SO much better, honest and transparent compared to what we get with the men - e.g., see Reusser’s interview and ELB’s interview with the RadReporter! right to the point and no mincing words.

Gosh, love watching the women’s races, so exciting! Really looking forward to the final stage! It’ll come down to seconds for the win. A request…hide any spoilers as the hubby has a training ride in the morning, so we’ll watch in the evening.

Yes what a nail biter this one is! Wow! I’ll have to wait until later also, busy in the morning so wait to watch highlights…

Wow. That was a great race right to the end! Very sad it’s officially over.

But must add that I wish they had kept Anthony and Hannah in the commentator box because they are just plain better than the alternative picks by NBC…

Wow, what a race
poor Reusser, what a terrible way to end for her! At least she seems physically okay.
I was really happy to see Isabella Holmgren in a big breakaway (yay, a Canadian seen in front in the
tdf!)

Well done to all the femmes this year, what an incredibly difficult heat wave to deal wave. I wonder if they will ever move the race to spring or autumn with these deadly temperatures.

This pain face from stage 9 NEEDS to make its way into a new Sufferfest video.

This or one of the other shots from the top of the climb.

Massive effort from Zoe Bäckstedt.
