This may not apply to many but worth mentioning

For anyone out there that may have an Health Reimbursement Arrangement from their employer here in the US, especially if they have dollars left to spend, there’s something you may not know. An HRA can pay for exercise equipment, if your doctor determines it is medically necessary.

During the winter getting outside to ride was problematic, especially this past Covid winter. My orthopedist was concerned that I was doing too much running on a treadmill because I have had a full hip replacement (the result of getting hit by a car while riding). He wanted me to get an indoor bike. He wrote me a Letter of Medical Necessity. With that, my HRA plan paid for my Kickr Bike!

Hopefully knowing this will help someone else.
