No idea what this book is about but the image/title represents the final interval of that workout quite well for me today. Except itās missing the lasers that were scorching my butt! Need to educate my personal laser goat that my legs failing to work is not Couchlandrian. Itās young, itāll learn.
āThis canāt crush me!.. I wonāt get crushed! ā¦ Please donāt crush me!.. Wait, am I getting crushed?..Iām definitely getting crushedā¦ā
My thoughts during the torture of the last minute of the last hammerā¦
Congratulations, to all sufferlandrians who already made it!
Yeeah! Canāt believe I made it out of the Valley of Nine Hammers alive.
This probably means I need to retest and get new 4DP numbers - but pssst, let me have this moment.
Thatās no even a real bookā¦ is it? checks Amazon ā¦ Wow,
and it even sounds pretty cool. I will get one and put it on my never ending shelve of back burner books.
The tracker is dealing with a couchroach infestation. It does catch up but it takes its time. Either that or it failed to get its digital bits around the Sufferlandrian 50 hour day properly.
p.s. I know Iāve done it, my legs arenāt talking to me
Officially Hammered. Near death experience in the last minute of hammer 9. The rest of it was not easy either after yesterday. I thought some of the music was uplifting at key points so kudos for that.
Suffer with honour everyone!
Thatās a for stage 2. Looking back through activities the first time I rode 9H was end of Dec ā14? and Iām still hereā¦
I hate when they get donut juice all over the keyboard while ordering cake on Grubhub. Hopefully the Minions can hose off the machine.
I have finished it a couple of hours ago and it was brutal.
I could even tell from the warm up that my legs were not recovered.
Unfortunately, on the last third of the last interval i had to make a quick 15 seconds pause, cause my legs were shaking very badly.
I was afraid i was gonna get cramped.
But even with this small pause, i ended the interval with 195bpm.
Anyway, day 2 done and dusted
Nine Hammersā¦its been a year!
#1 ok legs not so bad
#2 erm scrap that, legs gne awol
#3 ok is that the end
#4 ah ok might just get thro this
#5 ffs trainer held onto the power, ground to a halt at the end
#6 its all in the mind, shut up legs!
#7 am going to surviveā¦
#8 jeez how long is 3 minsā¦
#9 no idea, it was all a blurā¦
Done, dusted an bustedā:rofl:
When I first saw Cobbler followed by Nine Hammers, I thoughtā¦ hmmm, interesting combination
Now that Iāve done it. I see what you did thereā¦ Bloody vicious bastards!
Still loved it. Hammer(ed) and nailed (it).
Stage 2
That hammer 9. First minute - Iām gonna stop now, thereās no way. Second minute - 95rpm. OK, itās basically same, just faster spinning. No itās not. Almost dying. Third minute - itās only a minute, if I survive this, itās over. Eyes closed. Eyes open - still 20secs to go. Oh dear. Push.
Glorious suffering, from āthis will be okā during hammer one to ācanāt feel my legsā during hammer 9.
I really didnāt like hammers 5, 6 8 & 9.
5, 6 & 8, I was hanging on and made it, but felt like I could get through it knowing it was going to be tough. But 9ā¦ oh, that was evil. I was done before it even started and I was in agony for the entire time. I ended up closing my eyes and hanging on till my legs started to spin more freely and I realized Iād made it.
I donāt know about others, but I am spending my downtime researching and re-reading the best recovery foods, exercises etc trying to get back so I can go again tomorrow. Iām already looking forward to a week of recovery and itās only day 2.
Wow.
Just clung on.
Cadence down at 70 for the end of hammer 9.
YOU CAN DO THIS
I was feeling pretty positive after completing Day 1 now I am all nervous for tomorrow
GvA, stop messing around. You know itās really only 8 hammers, the last one just happens to be a double sided sledge hammer coated in suffering! Counting was never your strong point in fairness
