TV / monitor issues

Got my Kickr, training plan, fan, sweat towel all set up and the only thing that’s letting me down is my TV connection. I use Chromecast to mirror my phone displaying Wahoo to connect to my TV. It will connect no issues, then halfway through a training session it disconnects…infuriating. Got a decent WiFi signal, no issues in connecting back once it disconnects…any ideas?
Any better ways of connecting? I did hope a usb c to HDMI lead would solve it, but I could not get the phone signal on the TV.
Hopefully someone can help, thanks all

Hey @Danny_Cherry and welcome to the forums.
Are you using wahoo SYSTM for your workouts or just the Wahoo app? If it’s just the Wahoo app I’ve got nothing.

I use SYSTM and as an iOS user I can’t offer android specific help since generally, I use my MacBook and mirror using AppleTV but, on occasion, I’ve used my phone with an adapter to HDMI direct to the TV and it worked exceptionally well.

If you’re using SYSTM make sure you’ve downloaded the video or workout you’re doing in advance. It’s the best way to ensure trouble free playback during workouts.

Also, you want to make sure your HDMI cable is made for high speed as I understand it, some of the older ones don’t have the right capacity/spec for what you’re doing.

Are you able to get any of your phone’s stuff on the TV via the HDMI setup? Like youtube etc?

Hopefully there’s some droid users that will chime in and offer some guidance for you.

Thanks. It is system I’m using.
Never realised I could download a workout, so that’s helpful.
I’ve had a play today and managed to connect my old Samsung S9 phone to my TV via usb…so whilst the picture is not set up like I want for now, it does mean the image should disconnect…so unless I get any tips on sorting the wireless feed, it will be good with the wired connection :+1:

Is there else you could use like a PC or tablet?

Yeah got a laptop, but seems a waste when I have a big TV in front of my turbo set up, so ideally want to use the TV really.

I actually use my MacBook Air which has a 13” screen and have it beside me but mirrored to my 40” TV wirelessly via AppleTV. Works great, gives me full access to all the controls. My old eyes can barely manage the app on my phone.
