Wahooligan Tour 2025 - Route

1 - Team Scream: Excuse me?!? Is that all? Is this a prologue, or what?
2 - All acce…I am sorry, WHAT THE (LACK OF) SUF??
3 - Who Dares. Dares to hit the couch? ZzZzZz… Wake me up when the suffering hits.
4 - Ian Boswhat the hell? I cannot recall Tour de France having any 25 km flat stages?
5 - Ca$h Register and Bavarian Hamburgerbergs: Despite the Couchlandrian sound of the latter, now there is something that might start to resemble a tad of suffering.
6 - Rollercoaster: Unless this stage is close to 2 hours, the name is as misleading as calling this flat event Sufferlandrian
7 - Alpe d’Huez: This could be promising, let’s see if they have been able to even flatten the famous Alpe

In summary, I’d say this is the most ToC version of ToS in quite some time, and Wahoolimabowhatever Tour is probably a more correct name than ToS.

I am not volunteering myself here, I can’t do the tour, it never fits in with my prep for the start of the race season but if wahoo want to do their thing with a tour then maybe the Tour of Sufferlandria needs to just go under ground, and be organised unofficially. Just agree a route and all go do it, can create a just giving page that everyone joins to cover the money raising part and off we go.

Yep, would 100% be in for a Tour of Sufferlandria.
This is, well, underwhelming to say the least and it also still has that awful name.

@sir_james.p & @Jon and everyone else re: doing a ‘real’ tour, I had an idea to share with the good souls here. What if we ran an 8 day poll (yes these used to be 8 days). Each day show every previous tour route on that day for 24 hours and let the masses pick. So the first day will show every first day route. On the second day, every second day route, etc, etc.

To keep from ballot stuffing, you must DM your vote to the appropriate person. Everyone gets one vote, and to honor the Knights of Sufferlandria, they get a second vote. And finally, no results are shared until the entire route is finalized.

What Say Ye? Too out there???

Calling all Sufferlandrians

PSA: you CAN join, even if you have already registered. Lemmeno if that’s you, and I can walk you through the steps.

Honestly, if someone just ran a separate Tour of Sufferlandria that had the theme and spirit of the old ones (you know, where it’s actually hard and you have to figure out how you get through it) then I’d be in for that.

This just feels like a “for the sake of it” thing and more like it’s taking from the Tour de Zwift than a continuation of their inherited Sufferfest.
There’s no challenge to doing those sessions back to back over those days and it still has THAT name.
As I’ve said elsewhere, I believe in the charity, but it is a US charity, I’m not enthused by the rides and I’m not touching the name, so I’ll find other events to entertain myself with this year.

Having a growing list of achievement badges that I’m then accepting I’m not going to get in the platform then just acts as further push to maybe move on.
I still use it currently because I love the SUF and ProRides videos, but I’m not using it as my primary training platform anymore.

I think I’ll join the Sufferlandrian National Team because - well - I’m a Knight of Sufferlandria. However, I absolutely agree with Sir @Jon

Sure I’m gonna find some “nice” (cough) rides within Sufferlandrian borders and a non-nazi theme

Today or next Monday?

You gotta hunt a bit. It’s all part of the challenge

Here’s the official one
But here’s my improvements on it

I decided to call it by it’s real name.

As Dumbledore said, “Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself.”

The moment we’ve all been waiting for… almost.

While the Wahoo NotLigan Tour route has just been revealed, one critical question remains unanswered: WHEN will the legendary Stage 7b be announced?

Whispers of misery, echoes of suffering, and a dash of Xoom Xoom grow louder with every passing day. Sufferlandrians are missing The Tour of Sufferlandria—with the pomp, brilliance, and that mythical seal to make it truly unforgettable.

The Tour of Sufferlandria has always been one of the highlights of the Sufferlandrian year, yet murmurs have emerged on this forum from the depths of the lava fields, whispered by goats and carried on the winds of Mount Sufferlandria that The NotLigan Tour lacks the fiery ,fury, bad ideas, and the mythical bite of old. And its rather blunt presentation caught even the most experienced Knights slightly off guard. (or perhaps, off poster…)

This only intensifies the anticipation for the grandiose unveiling of Stage 7b—a beacon of hope. A stage that lives in the legends of Sufferlandria as the ultimate battle. A stage where one does not simply ride, but rides with pain, agony, and misery.

Not a single drop of SUF holy water remains to soothe our anxiety. **Meritorious Sir @Glen.Coutts **, I beseech you to end our torment.

The goats, and I dare say even Fluffy, would approve. Announce with the rightfully pomp and glory the Stage 7b, the pinnacle of the Tour, and restore the trembling quads and unwavering faith of all Sufferlandrians.

Oh, Stage 7b, where art thou?

I dared to sketch an image, who Knows, a poster for Stage7b which I humbly dedicate above all to Sir Evan @emacdoug and @DameCristy and, of course, to the never emeritus but always glorious Meritorious Sir @Glen.Coutts ! I hope it does not violate any taste, licenses, rights, or sensitivities, as it was made with SUF passion and wholeheartedly.

Fantastic!

Is there a T missing at the end of IWBMATTKYT? (Nit-pick). Or is my old eyesight just not good enough?

Ooohhh, the taunting begins!

With 6 weeks to go until the opening TTT of the grande departe, can we be certain that there will be a 7b? Or perhaps, this year, the stage The Comfortable ought to fear, will be Stage 6. The as yet to be released/revealed new SUF vid Rollercoaster looks like it might be “fun” on its own but it also looks primed for a healthy dose of bonus suffering. Beware 6B, my doughy minion.

Also, I’m not gonna promise anything ( like the release of the new kit next Monday) but there just might be some more shenanigans in store.

Patience.

I can’t wait to see Stage 7b! I’m sure it will be a doozy. Certainly reminiscent of your excellent graphic.

I definitely have some good post-Tour shenanigans up my sleeve. But only if I get enough donations. More to be revealed during the Tour…

Sir Glenn, never taunting—always up!

Just like a Sufferlandrian on the bike i guess, when in doubt, always the up way!

Only slightly off topic… I’m looking for an original of that image Sir Glen - Do you know where there might be one?
Would love that in a small frame at work and the links I found in the forum have been scrubbed from existence. :persevere:
