And now RIVAL?

This week I kindly ask Wahoo support what’s next on RIVAL. Will they still going to sell at 99,99€ or something new is about to come.
Their answer was that they were not allowed to speak about, so … does anyone knows anything in a near future, or we simply are pushed to other brands?

Cheers.

Chip Hawkins (Wahoo CEO) has publicly stated that there are no new watches planned (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNfYi8jU4ss&t=160s).

I guess that explains why it’s no longer listed for sale on the website, all that’s shown now is the charger.

Hi Some info to make us dream hopefully! might definitely be wrong but If Jim Walmsley is still a Wahoo athlete and you see the black watch (seems with amoled) he was wearing during the Chianti race this week end which was definitely not a Rival 1 you can think that Wahoo is working on something  Jim even finish the race without the watch at his wrist it seems on purpose… which is even more weird! Let’s hope we can start dreaming of a version 2!!

I’ve seen a picture of him with a watch that was definitely not a Rival, and thought that it was a Garmin (Coros ? but it did not look like one).
Being pessimistic (realistic ?), removing the watch might mean that it was not a Wahoo watch and due to contract/Sponsorship, cannot be seen with a non-wahoo watch…
Anyway if a Rival 2 were on the way, I’ll instant-buy it

Yep, me too😳

I can’t really identify which existing watch this would be. But it looks Garmin’esque

could be Garmin indeed. His wife is wearing Garmin so could make sense. Still I prefer to hope for a Wahoo Rival 2
