I researched for best overear headphone as i’ve been trying to find something comfortable for long listening sessions and better sound quality for music and calls. i have been experiencing discomfort with on-ear models, poor noise isolation, and battery issues with my current headphones. i went through reviews from trusted sources like reddit, wirecutter, and rtings and after comparing many options these two kept coming up as the top choices:
Raycon The Everyday Wireless Bluetooth Over Ear Headphones
however, i am having trouble deciding which one would be better for me and i would love to get your expert advice and hoping maybe some audio enthusiasts or people with experience using over-ear headphones on this forum can also share their advice. i usually use headphones for gaming, music, calls, and sometimes travel and need something comfortable, long-lasting, and with strong noise cancellation. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I have Bose Ultra Open ear buds. They are very good a don’t notice them on my ears. Sound quality is great. They sit on your ear lobe not in your ear canal. They have the benefits of in ear buds in that they are light and small, without sitting in your ear and when out and about you can still hear cars etc. Have used them for work calls too and have been very good.
Thanks everyone for the detailed suggestions, really appreciate it.
The JVC Nearphones and Bose Ultra Open Earbuds both sound interesting, especially the comfort factor you mentioned. I hadn’t really considered open-ear styles before, but it’s helpful to hear real user experience with them. That said, my main priority is still reliability for long-term daily use. I don’t want something that just sounds good at first but ends up having battery issues or wearing out quickly after a few months. Comfort for long sessions (music, gaming, calls, and travel) is also really important for me.
I’m still comparing a few options, but your input definitely gives me a better direction on what actually holds up in real use rather than just looking good on paper. If anyone has more experience with long-term durability on over-ear models, I’d love to hear it.
I did not mention the Shokz Open Run before since you wanted “over the ear” headphones, but I am very pleased with mine. I also find them useful for riding outside because I can get directions from my phone or Garmin, and I can still hear the other sounds that I need to hear.
