Bolt 3

Hey everyone,
I had forest trip yesterday with my friends and my new Bolt 3.

The forest is real forest , no gsm signal, so no phones.

I was shocked, my new Bolt 3 was useless. Because no TAKE ME TO on map function!!!

My friends used Bolt 2. They where fine! Bolt 2 TAKE ME TO on map worked as a charm.

Maybe i am doing something wrong?!
Where is TAKE ME TO on map function?

Do you have any saved locations? You’d need that first. And, you can do that via the Wahoo App (Go to “Plan” > “My saved locations” > + (top right corner).

On B3 the “Take me to” feature is just called “Route to” and you’d get it by tapping the “…” menu on the Map page, then tap “Routes” then “Route to…” will appear at the top of the screen. If you have saved locations, you can then choose from that list.

So.. i need phone and network! Or i had to do MY SAVED LOCATION before the trip.

Bolt 2 TAKE ME TO on map works without phone! Anytime everywhere, no phone no network need.

Wahoo!! Hallo !! YOU DID CRAP with Bolt 3.

That’s harsh. I really have no idea how you would expect the B3 to know what route you wanted, or what location you want to be taken to if you haven’t already somehow saved it.

Edit: you don’t need to have the phone with you while you are riding. But, you would have had to have used the Wahoo App to sync your saved routes/locations ahead of time.

Bolt 2 does it.

I had just select TAKE ME TO on map and Bolt 2 was doing job/ navigation . Awesome job!

Maybe I am missing something here but on the B3 “Route to” = “Take me to”.

It works perfectly well for me. And I don’t need to have the app on my phone open or my phone with me for the navigation to work.

I press ROUTE TO and i see just SAVED LOCATIONS and SURFACE

I can not turn on CHOOSE on map… :frowning:

Ahhh, I see what you are saying. I dont have a B2 myself so can’t compare but searching the Wahoo support site it appears that the select from the map option is not available on the B3 because of the lack of a touch screen. In any case, if this is something you could do on the B2 and it’s something you can’t do on the B3 then I’d say it’s even more important to contact Support. I dont know if this is something they can resolve or not, or if they have a work around for you or if they plan to bring back for the Gen 3 Bolt.

I never used that feature myself but I can see how it would be helpful.

I think as you told Glen. Wahoo removed ‘choose on map’ function.

This is tragedy.

Make sure you tell them that, when you reach out. They don’t always come to the public forums. In the meantime, while you’ve got your phone and wifi and the app handy, I’d suggest you save a couple locations for future reference.
