Bolt: Speed and Cadence Sensors interfere with Power Meter Telemetry

I’m having a problem where I cannot use a speed or cadence sensor without it messing with my power meter telemetry.

Examples:

  1. Power2Max spider power meters work fine, provides accurate power numbers. If pair my speed sensor, the Wahoo starts showing power numbers based on estimates from the speed sensor rather than the power meter data.

  2. KICKR - I try to use a cadence sensor on my indoor trainer. When I use my Kinetic inRide without any additional sensors, the power numbers are correct. When I pair the cadence sensor, I start getting erroneous power numbers which I believe is the computer trying to estimate my power based on the cadence rather than the showing the power data from the fitness equipment.

Am I doing something wrong?

This is really annoying on the trainer! It doesn’t provide accurate cadence numbers, so I would really like to use my crank arm cadence sensor but everything breaks whenever I’m adding these sensors to my bolt.

Youre having the issue both indoors and outdoors?
Outdoors - have you got the wheel and tyre size set correctly?
Indoors on the Kickr - i find it best to use the trainer power not my on bike PM. I find most software gets confused reading my crank power and then trying to control trainer resistance. Using the trainer power, Ive never had an issue using a separate cadence counter on the crank. I handt heard of interference issues before either. Might be worth turning off other devices, e.g. headunit, phone etc that may be grabbing signal and see if that helps.
