Calendar and plan design feedback

Just keep on working and you will get there. Ill keep both my subscriptions Wahoo X and troad untill the day i dont feel the need to have both keeping only X because ill never leave RGT.

Just going to jump in/update here to say I’ve been dallying with the TR free trial as an alternative/addition to SYSTM. I will say this, so far - I find TR’s calendar to be more intuitive and easy to work with than SYSTM’s, and MAN do I wish SYSTM could steal TR’s in-ride graph and stats! So much easier for me to follow and make sense of.

There, I said it. Not proud to be playing the field, but here we are.

@CPT_A TP and SYSTM complement each other. I agree that it would be good to have more TP features within the calendar and within the app in general such as being able to rank efforts by sport, power, HR and by different time periods as well. The legacy Sufferfest app did have bad ass power records which were similar. It would be great to have something like that back in the app.

The main issue for me with TP was keeping 2 calendars. I created a library on TP and could drag and drop workouts so that they were the same as what was on my SYSTM plan but with travel and other stuff getting in the way I would often move things around and it became too much so I just dropped TP and have figured out a few workarounds in the SYSTM app to add in placeholders for races. I also wasn’t really using all of the TP metrics - they are not as in depth as other platforms especially their WK05 software which is a separate cost or Golden Cheetah.

I tried TP for the first time a few months ago and absolutely hated the user interface, especially the calendar. I find it a very cluttered 90s windows design, push everything in your face all at the same time, and not intuitive. I much prefer the cleaner, calmer SYSTM calendar. So much so that I actually cancelled my personal trainer plan that required the use of TP, mostly because of its depressing design.

Just wanted to offer up a bit of balance :sunglasses:

@gwydion “TP” is Training Peaks? I was referring to TrainerRoad…

Hahahaha. Sorry, I’ll get my coat…

Have they brought this function back? I thought there was no more free trials/codes to trial TR? Stopped ages ago.

I received 30 days. Guess it’s more of an “or your money back” than a free trial…

Did you sign up to TR and get a 30 day trial or your money back ‘offer’?

Yeah the second one.

I started using TP and it was a bit of a learning curve, but I really like it now. Great flexibility and very powerful tools.
