okay. Here is a quick post-ride wrap up and then will let this thread go to sleep. Like I’ve been doing on and off all day trying to recuperate.

The weather was perfect outside which meant opening my windows and leaving the heat off didn’t expose me to frigid temps like the first time. Also I felt so much better. Doing The Best way is blended on Saturday helped me realize me newest FF numbers were too low. So I set them back to where they were in 2021 and wished for the best.
The Way Out was a great intro, but by the end of my number 4 video The Trick I wasn’t sure I would even make it to ten videos. HHNF was no trouble but during AVDP things got a bit dark at times and The Trick was far more of a test than I expected. My legs were not there. Thankfully There is no try and the downward spiral smoothed out and by the time I reached my nemeses from last time, Butter, I thought if I can make it through butter then I’m not stopping.
I had sensor issues crop up repeatedly during the day and of course, during Butter. Frustrating but nothing major like last time. Got through and went on.
The one thing about Who dares being remastered is I didn’t really feel strong urges to keep my head up watching the video so I saved some energy… I’m so happy the tunes stayed!
I told myself it would be a miracle to make it through The Model without dropping intensity (I aimed for 70% the whole way through) and like last time I asked myself who put this at 8? (that’s #8 on the original list before tossing TWO in as an extra first video. Blame the minions for the extra) But THIS time, it worked great. I really enjoyed it and just made it through. What a masterpiece.
If you’re not asleep yet, this gets to #10 The Rookie and some longer efforts. I know they said they sewed my legs back on but I don’t think they really did. My legs were cooked by the end but I had made it through ten in a row at 70% of my old FF numbers which was a massive fitness victory and morale boost.
The washroom change, where it sunk in I actually had already done 10 in a row and 9H was 11. Did I really need to do 11? No. But I decided to do it anyway.
Well. Ha Introduction and the first hammer at 70% and I realized I was in deep trouble. Dropped it down to 65% on the next hammer and suddenly realized I’m underfueled and shoved more porridge in my face and dropped it down to 60% thinking maybe I can get through the rest at 60%. Hammer four…Coke Machine comes on and I realize I’m bonking..made a cry for help to the “team car” aka my sister who brought me a coke in the nick of time. Miraculous stuff that Coca Cola.
I can’t say I remember the rest of 9H but I know I kept the pedals turning and got it done.

Random thoughts from the knighthood:
There is nothing like a new chain singing its way through a knighthood.
I wonder how many watts the new chain gifted me after using the rusty worn Agona rubbish heap one for the first knighthood?
Why is my rear end so sore?
Sufferlandrians are awesome.
Is that Sir David at the end of 9H or am I hallucinating?
No one should ever do this more than once.
I really love porridge.
Alex Steida’s souplesse coaching tip on pedalling really helped.

Thanks all for your support, it is not going to be forgotten.
@Heretic finally, I have fulfilled the quest! You pushed me to do my best and prove what’s possible. I am thankful.

You are most welcome.

I love a good KOS story. Congrats on making it through all 11! Nine Hammers is an adventure at any intensity. I did 9H this morning and I always use my own mixed soundtrack so I forget about all the other songs.

And the trick in The Trick is that it’s harder than it looks.

You did so many of my favorites. And the soundtrack to Who Dares is one of my favorites, so I’m glad at least that part is still there!

Brilliant job! You deserve a good lie down!

Amazing accomplishment, obviously crazy, huge congratulations for all you’ve done here.
Inspired to actually attempt, finally, thank you and happy recovery.

Thank you! Nine hammers is indeed a special beast. I don’t know why, but I have such a strong association mentally of this video with Valhalla :joy: most times I ride it I think of Wagner’s opera (which is the most I know about Valhalla at all!)
I’m starting day two of the lie down now, interspersed with some gentle recovery strolls around the house.

@fukawitribe Thanks and Yes, definitely crazy! Go for it, after you see a doctor like the preparation list says
