Without knowing the details of how the control work loop works it is difficult to know for sure.
Does the interruption always happen at the same point in the video? That suggests a software problem.
I might suggest an experiment. Ride an easy workout like Recharger, and at the same time run a very resource and compute intensive app. If you see interruptions, it is probably because the app is loosing time slices as part of normal multi-tasking.
IME when video streaming freezes the workout still continues. Never had a single issue with downloaded videos.
There are so many hardware/connectivity variables here that it would be hard to know whether or not there are SUF software issues. In my setup (iMac, Elite Direto X, 50 mbps WiFi) Sufferfest runs flawlessly with downloaded videos and pretty good with streaming - although I have had the occasional lag or freeze which I put down to my WiFi connection sometimes slowing up. Downloading prevents any glitches and so I download all the videos as a matter of course.
I donât have a great deal to add to what others have said about the general complaint. I do, however, think that your use of âgaslightingâ as an accusation is not on. As has been pointed out, you are essentially accusing SUF of psychological manipulation; it is the stuff of abusive relationships and domestic abuse. That sort of language simply has no place in this context.
Youâre not happy with the response you got. Fair enough. Thatâs your prerogative. But this type of frankly hysterical overreaction doesnât help anyone, and using that sort of language is either way, way over the top or itâs applying such a wide definition to the term that it becomes essentially meaningless. Some perspective, please.
Despite not being part of my exchange with Customer Support, and being seemingly unable to intellectually grasp the context of the complaint at hand, you feel entitled enough to tell me what to say and tone police me, in defense of the gaps in the services of a business that you presumably do not own any part of?
The fragile self-centredness of some people truly is fascinating.
You donât know me. You have no idea what Iâm âintellectually capableâ of grasping. And Iâd suggest that Iâm not the one who has issues with âfragile self-centrednessâ if you think the answer to this is to double down on your previous nonsense rather than accept that youâve overreacted somewhat.
As the time honoured saying goes: If you canât see why youâre wrong, I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain it to you.
I do think making a complaint on a sufferfest forum about sufferfest isnât going to go down wellâŚ
Your audience are people (incl myself) that regularly log onto the app and are passionate about it.
Refusing to listen to constructive critcism is generally not regarded as a good quality.
For what it is worth, Customer Support did eventually acknowledge the issue on their end (only after it has been definitively proven that the issue is indeed on their end, as they initially refused to acknowledge), and has since apologised.
The cultlike behaviour of some members in this thread who seem to take it personally however, is quite alarming and does not speak well for their personalities IRL. coughSirElisKoscough
