Does RideWithGPS-to-Elemnt Bolt sync now require a premium RWGPS account?

Someone on a UK cycling forum is claiming that they now have to upgrade to the premium RideWithGPS service to continue syncing routes between RWGPS and their Bolt. Anyone know if that’s true? In the past it’s always been possible to sync turn-by-turn routes from a free RWGPS account to Elemnt devices.

(I can’t easily check for myself as I have a premium RWGPS account. I do also have a free account which I use for checking that my cycle tour clients will be able to view my routes, but I don’t have a spare Bolt to sync to it and I haven’t got time to faff around resetting my Bolt twice just to find out…)

I still synch mine, ir did a week ago. You just need to pin the routes the synch them.

Thanks, Damelisa. It turns out I’d misunderstood and it was uploading a GPX file into RWGPS before syncing to the Bolt that was giving them problems. Anyway the problem went away when they tried it again.

Yay, thats good. Nothing worse than the panic of being unable to load a route the day before something epic
