Long school parking lot. I can just manage to hit the brakes and veer off from the longer efforts before I crash into the curb at the end. Exciting.
One thing I found that helped was, assuming you’re on a wheel off trainer like a kickr, is to get a very close ratio cassette. The majority of time you’ll be using ERG, but for FF you can change gears to make very small changes to your cadence. 11-23 was good for this.
