How do I remove “routes by Wahoo” from my routes on Wahoo Ace?

How do I delete “Wahoo routes” or disable their synchronization with my routes in Wahoo Ace?
I don’t need unnecessary routes to be synchronized, causing difficulties in finding a specific route in the list.

Apparently “Wahoo Routes” are created, imported or synced via the Wahoo app. Says you have to go there to edit or delete them - not from within the head unit itself…

On Element Ace I can only select route, I can not delete. In Wahoo app I can edit or delate only my own roures, Wahoo routes are unremovable…

I’m sure you can do it, @Arix . I don’t have the Ace, and am not currently subscribed to Wahoo, so can’t replicate what you’re trying to do in-app. I’d recommend contacting Wahoo support at https://support.wahoofitness.com, I’m sure this is doable, and sure they can sort you out.

If you go to the route you will see 3 small dots in the upper right hand corner. Select those and you will find an option to delete the route.

You cannot delete the route, see screenshot (you can only select to ride in the reverse direction).

I get 3 options on my iPhone.

This is your own route? I can delete routes that I added myself, and that’s not a problem.

The problem is that the Wahoo syncs its own routes called “Routes by Wahoo” on my Element Ace, cluttering up the list and making it difficult to find and select the right one. And I can’t delete them. You can only select to ride in the reverse direction.

For example, it syncs a route “Golden Gate Park” that is 9,398 km away from my home.

This was a file that I downloaded for a race that I did. I have a first generation Roam. When I look under “routes” I only see ones that I have downloaded. I use them for directions during the event and have also used them indoors to simulate the route.

Do a Factory Reset on the Ace and the Wahoo routes will disappear

I have the same issue with the Wahoo Roam V3. I have 22 Routes I cannot delete.

Can anyone confirm a factory reset will make the routes disappear?

Thanks

I haven’t tried it myself, but a factory reset is the accepted method recommended by Wahoo support, yes

I just tried it and it worked!

I have only the routes I uploaded on my own.

Thanks!

The factory reset worked for my Bolt3 as well. Not the most convenient fix but it worked.

Same here. Factory reset worked. Have to redo the rest of the setup so it would be nice if they hadn’t done this in the first place but at least it works now. So grateful for this forum.

Well if nothing else, you guys have done a good job turning me off to the Ace!

Ha! It’s a one time fix.
