Removing duplicate routes Elmnt

I have a Wahoo Elmnt…I have duplicate files on my Wahoo Unit. I have deleted the files from my Elmnt app but it’s still showing duplicate routes on my Wahoo unit. I have turned off the Wahoo unit, hit sync several times…still shows duplicate routes. These are RWGPS routes, fyi

I had this recently with my Strava routes. I fixed it by deauthorising Strava in all three Wahoo apps then reauthorising it in just the Wahoo/Systm apps (I think one did the other automatically). The only downside is that I now have to manually sync my outdoor rides to Strava from the Wahoo app as Elemnt can no longer upload them.

I think this is part of the process of Wahoo moving to a single app for everything - the new Ace computer doesn’t use the Elemnt app at all.

Thanks! I ended up doing a factory re-set and starting over. That worked…not ideal…but it worked.

I solved this. I think my issue started when I installed and started using the Wahoo Phone App (temporarily due to the v1 device date bug)

I think what is happening is that the device now picks up routes from two places

  1. Strava → Elemnt App → Device
  2. Strava → Wahoo App → Elemnt App → Device

Or similar

I went to the Wahoo App and deauthorised Strava on it. Refreshed my Elemnt App and re synced device and the duplicates disappeared but the originals remained (I guess it’s back to just using #1 above)

You bumping this thread reminded me that my fix detailed above stopped working a while back. I have just implemented yours though as I no longer use Systm for my training so only need Elemnt to be connected to Strava. Thanks.
