Did a Half Monty today and for the first time ever I completed the full ramp. There’s all sorts of new info screens up there in the rarefied air of the ramp summit, ones that I’ve never seen before!
I tested really low (for me) with a Full Frontal in January, and then the Tour prep plan and the Tour itself have given me a boost that’s literally off the scale. FTP jumped 20%, MAP jumped 25%.
Right then, suppose I’d better start a Knighthood plan…
First congrats on such great improvements and I’m looking forward to your quest!
Second, fwiw, if you reached the very top step of the steps then you might want to consider doing HM again. Not today, not tomorrow but soon. The test is intended to have you work to “failure” so if you don’t fail your numbers won’t be as accurate. And, that is for all 3 metrics of the test: MAP, FTP and cLTHR.
The first time I did HM right after starting the Sufferfest training, I reached the top of the ramp as well, probably because the intake questions did not really take into account my oddball fitness regimen at the time (basketball and circus arts classes).
My FTP and MAP scores were about 7 percent higher at my next test a couple of months later. But they were perfectly fine for training in the interim—much holy water was produced, albeit not at the optimal levels.
