Kickr Climb - does the rear axle pivot scratch the frame?

Hi folks, I don’t own one (yet), but am wondering about how the Kickr Climb works exactly - as the front axle rises, the rear axle must pivot and am wondering if I’ve done my rear quick release (or thru axle) up tightly, what two surfaces are rubbing against each other?

I imagine it’s directly the inside of the frame rear triangle axle location against the smart trainer axle (and adapter on one side). Is that axle free to rotate inside the smart trainer, or does it stay fixed and the frame inside rubs against a stationary axle surface?

Nothing rubs. It just freely tilts up or down when the Climb changes height.

Yes. If you’ve ever done a wheelie, or walked your bike by lifting the handlebars and front tire off the ground…. It’s the same concept.

You can do the same things with your bike in your smart trainer. Just stand next to it and grab the handlebars and lift the front tire off the ground. The bike just pivots on the rear axle like it always does when the rear wheel is turning.

What smart trainer do you have ? What may grind or not will depend on how it clamps the rear axle / frame and is trainer specific.
