Understanding your full disclosure that you (and Cap’n Sir Ian) are dissenting voices, I am not trying to change your minds or discount your experiences, but I do want to add some additional info/clarity for Sir Eric to consider:

True, in Zwift (and other sims, I expect), sort of.

In Zwift, if doing a structured workout, gradient changes are not communicated to the trainer/Climb. BUT, if you want to manually adjust the Climb during these workouts, you can use the attached remote. I have done this many times (similar to what Sir @JSampson said), if only to get a variety of body positions while riding indoors.

In SYSTM’s structured workouts, there are LOTS of vids where the gradient changes are communicated (as mentioned previously, all OL, all Pro Rides, all AWW series and probably ½ or more of the SUF vids).

As to your point on free-riding, in Zwift (and other sims), like you said, you do feel the resistance changes in the effort required to pedal as the grade points up or down BUT, without the Climb, your body position won’t change beyond possibly standing and sitting back down. I do get what you’re saying about the hobby horse thing though. Clearly it’s not for everyone. Have you tried selling it? I imagine now would be a GREAT time to find a buyer, at least in the parts of Sufferlandria where winter means cold x 6 months :raised_hand:t2:

FWIW, I enjoyed my Climb very much. Just considered it a “fun accessory” because it’s not essential kit. It certainly enhances the ride experience under the right circumstances.

Sorry, I misrepresented you. Non-essential. Like I said before, for my riding and my purposes, I would not want to be without it.

Hello
I had climbr who worked well last year
Yesterday I tried to plugin climb with my kickrcore
It Works when I’m not on m’y bike but IT doesn’t work when I’m on…I’ve Heard aime “Click” when gradient goes Up but the bike doesn’t move at all
Do you ever have such an issue ?
Thanks a lot

Hey @Mostal, you’ll need to connect with support. They don’t often respond in the community forums.

What Sir Glen said. When my first Kickr failed, it was similar to what you’re describing. I think a belt pulley failed. Called support and they shipped me a replacement.
