Kickr Shift Climbing Position

I’m considering buying the Kickr Shift. I understand that it doesn’t have a ‘climb’ feature like the Kickr Bike Pro. But I wonder if I adjust the saddle set-back and tilt, raise the handlebar, and match the reach to by road bike fit, will this method replicate my climbing position outdoors? Alternately, would placing the front-end of the Shift on a sturdy step stool be stable and safe?

I planned on upgrading my indoor set-up this coming winter. My previous set-up was the Kickr v5 and an older Aethos with the front wheel raised on an 8" step stool to activate my climbing muscle groups and simulate outdoor climbing.

The other option is getting the Kickr Bike Pro but I’ve heard it’s quite a bit louder than the Shift.

Cheers!

I’ve never tried the Shift but did just get a Bike Pro.

It’s not loud. Headwind fan is significantly louder. I have it in the basement and with the basement door closed my wife says she can’t hear anything while I’m on the Bike Pro so long as I’m using headphones.

It’s definitely quieter than a KICKR ROLLR which I was using before.

(It’s also quieter than my Concept2 Model C sitting next to it but that’s a darn low bar :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)
