Hooo boy. I thought I smelled something!

Congrats Sir Cap’n.

Pull up a chair. They’re just as uncomfortable as they look but nothing less for a Knight of your stature.

My gosh, just a HUGE thank you to all of you for hanging out w me today with encouragement, humor, and…even the heckling.

I legitimately don’t know if I’d have made it without you, forum!

ā€œevenā€?! Today was some of my finest work. Btw, you’d have done it without us. I’m surprised you were able to chat back. For my quest is was almost radio silence except for a quick pic and post to FB. I did not communicate with ANYONE til I was done.

@CPT_A You’ve done such a great job keeping us informed of your progress. Truly inspirational for newbies and KoS wannabes!

Do it.

Edit: there’s decals. And virtual badges. And virtual certificates even.

You were in top form, to be sure.

I actually did up a bunch of graphics and gifs this week and had them in a document i could just cut and paste. Took me maybe 2min to post the stages, except for the mandatory/rushed restroom break between 4/5.

And i had my phone on my bar mount, so could reply a little during recoveries.

Congrats. I felt nauseated just reading about it. Once I shake my post COVID fitness problem, something to consider and perhaps think better of.

Hey what a coincidence ! I felt nauseated doing it!

(During Local Hero and HHNF specifically).

The Wretched did in my knees in my first attempt. It’s definitely not a ride to be underestimated at any intensity.

And, uhhh…. Yeah. You’re gonna need to report to flogging station #7 until that gate is repaired.

Well done! Welcome to the castle! Just don’t make yourself comfortable.

Once you’ve considered it you’re already committed. Just let us know the date and we’ll be here with memes at the ready.

I will say this: 9+ hours is a stupid amount of time to spend on a stationary trainer. I used my road bike for my 6 hour prep ride a couple weeks ago. Glad I switched out for my CX bike today - the geometry is just a little more forgiving.

Started feeling the knees near the end, but not like the practice run.

(man, did my house always have this many stairs?)
