Im wondering if any of you recognizes the following sound on my KICKR Core. I have send a request to support, but that might take a while… so maybe one of you has already been in a similar situation.
The clicking sound increases when I ride with a heavier gear. Next to that, it seems that my chain is correctly alligned. So I think the sound might come from the axle of the Wahoo, but Im not entirely sure. What are your thoughts?
Wahoo will tell you there are no user-servicable parts and ask you to ship the unit back to them for repair or replacement. If it’s under warranty that may be the best option.
There aren’t very many moving parts on the trainer, but the belt, bearings, axle and tension pulley can all wear out. If you’re handy and the unit is out of warranty, I’d recommend searching up YouTube videos on how to replace the belt, bearings, etc. and give it a go.
I am pretty mechanically competent and was able to replace the bearings on my Kickr Core using YouTube and tools I had in my cycling specific tool kit (including a crank-puller!)
