The 2025 wahooligan tour stage 3 - official race thread

Looks like you are working on a graphic novel.

If she was Adriana Geertruida she could be the dark spear maiden and you would have the beginning of a Germanic/Dutch myth for your novel.

You’re not going to believe the plot twist

But what were you thinking during the sprints?

May the dark spear maiden, the golden angel of heavenly cadence, have mercy on my soul.

I did not think of anything but keeping my cadence high and not bouncing in the saddle. I suppose I was also waiting for the interval to be over.

I guess I am not much of a romantic.

I forgot I still had the initial version with the 60% grade and found myself once again climbing to the ceiling at a 20% bike tlit :sweat_smile:

I may never update this download. Man, it made me laugh!

So good… however… I couldn’t be entirely certain but am I correct in thinking this, not in keeping with Sufferlandrian mathematical tradition, all adds up to 100%?

Yeah today, a proper vid!! I love Who Dares to death. Can’t update my video, won’t update it, it’s perfection. Makes me love being alive, think of how I want to improve my health long term, and after the tour do this again at full intensity (did the last race at 100% cause I just had to!how could I resist? ) and then redo my FF, because I know I can do higher numbers than my current, so that I can do Who Dares again!!
It’s a good plan, right?
P. S. Did I mention how much I love this workout??

Stage 3 Tour of SUF - Retro Gear
Maillots, or bike jerseys, have gone through amazing changes since the early 1980s. Shortly before the ones you see in this photo, pro racers used wool jerseys with pockets across the front chest. Then came this era where the material was still wool but pockets were now on the back, sometimes with a button to close each of the three sections. Riders wore these in the Spring, Summer and the Fall. When it got real cold you’d put on a jacket that was wool on the back and with some wind-stopping material on the chest and the forward facing part of the arms. All jerseys at this time were 1/4 zip. Team logos were either embroidered or screen-printed onto the jerseys. In those days if your arms were cold you’d add some wool arm warmers. Legs a little cold? Then you needed some wool tights. We were all happy using this state of art cycling apparel not realizing how synthetic fabrics and sublimation would change our kits quite radically in terms of comfort, temperature control and aerodynamics. By the way, I can still fit into three of these old school jerseys.
