Hi !! I bough a Kickr core 2 end of last year. Love it ! But now that summer is here and that my bike is used outside, I miss my trainer. So I was considering buying a Zwift Ride. When I look on the canadian site it is out of stock with the possibility to notify me when it will be available again. And on the US Web site, the product is not in the list of products that they sell (the only options being the trainer only or trainer + bike).
Does someone know if Wahoo has decided to stop selling the ‘frame only’ product?
Does someone know something about the futur of that product?
P.S. If you have an alternative option to the Zwift Ride let me know
Since you’ve got the smart trainer already, I’d seriously consider a used road bike that you could make your permanent indoor training bike. Price wise, it’d be quite comparable.
I’ve done just that myself.
You can then purchase and use the cog/click combo for virtual riding/shifting on Zwift or just use the click for Zwift and free up your real gears/rings/cogs for actual shifting for any other app.
In Canada, you can get the cog/click combo at a few places. Here’s one of them (I got the old Zwift Play controllers from them) WTRL Racing Online Store
Yes, exactly what Sir @Glen.Coutts has said: Old(er) road frame setup to your needs. Brakes not needed, and, in some cases, neither are wheels. Check your LBS, FB Marketplace, or whatever you can find to zero in on what would work best for you.

Bought one in homage to Gerry. $4 at my local Firehouse Subs and the money goes to charity. Takes some effort to get the pickle smell eradicated tho
Thanks a lot for you answers ! I will try to find a a used bike. I was trying to avoid this because I have a hard time finding a bike on which I am comfortable. But you are right that is certainly the best solution. Love your setups !! 
Sorry for asking (as you see still a newby in all this indoor world): what is the brand of the stand you use instead of your front wheel?
They’re using a Wahoo KICKR Climb. Otherwise just get any old wheel, doesn’t matter if it rolls or anything.
Like Sir @richie_engineer said. We’re using the Kickr Climb. 100% NOT necessary to do what you’re looking to do and it does ad a significant cost ($800-$1000 CAD) to the setup.
I treated it as an investment in my engagement and enjoyment of indoor riding as it raises and lowers the front of the bike when riding any simulated environment (e.g. Zwift, TPvirtual, Rouvy etc). It was a late birthday, early Xmas, early retirement gift from my wife.
As to finding a used bike you’re comfortable with, just use the road bike you generally ride as a guideline for saddle height, and bike frame sizing. Also, if you have a local bike shop (with some experience in bike fitting) nearby they should be able to give you some guidance as to what size would work for you in general, as well as be able to tweak whatever you do end up with for a reasonable cost. Sometimes all that’s needed is an adjustment in saddle height, or, sometimes a swap of the stem to something a little longer or shorter.

The local bike shop might have an old frame or something that isn’t really up to task for outdoor riding but would be just fine for an indoor donkey, this would be even cheaper.
As Sir @richie_engineer & Sir @Glen.Coutts said, we’re using a Wahoo KICKR Climb. It simulates elevation grades/changes, too. Prior the Climb, I used a customized stand welded together from scrap metal.
(I’m just lazy & don’t want to have to monitor a front tire’s pressure on an indoor bike.)
There are ones like that intended for mounting on rollers, might be something to start with if you’re not going to weld your own.
