200 mile gravel grinder completed with a succesful ride from Leicester to York via the Humber Bridge 228km 142miles and back 178km 111miles next day.
Conditions were challenging due to rain, hail, sleet and string wind which was gusting 40mph over the bridge.
Great fun so now resting ready for the tour tomorrow. Not too shabby for being 65yrs old later this year. #knightsneverquit
The wind sounds terrible. Good job though. Way to taper for the TOS👍
Exactly. The Tour will be like recovery for him!
Sir Brian I was shocked at how light the bike was after removing all the bags. Fingers cross the tour will go well
Nice! I moved from Nottingham to York for university (many moons ago now…) and did that back and forth many many times. I never took your route though (nor did it on 2 wheels) !
Holy cow, sir; those are serious miles in tough conditions. Chapeau!!
*that * is inspiring! What an adventure, hats off to you! Knightworthy indeed. Thanks for sharing the story!
