Annual Knighthood Attempt

3/11 Done. I’ve been violated. :white_check_mark:

I’ve never done a sprint workout in the little ring before. But I just got my new big ring in the mail on Wed and I wasn’t willing to replace it 2 days before this attempt. So, there’s a first time for everything! Was hard to hit the sprints in the first set, but I hit the power target on almost every one beginning with the 15 second sprints in that first set. We’ll see what that does to my knees later on…

And now for what is hopefully my only deviation of the day. The SYSTM outage set me back 21 minutes. The only way I can still finish by 5pm and make my family pizza and movie night is to get those minutes back somewhere. I got 3 back with quick tests between my first 2 videos, but I can’t keep that up. The Shovel was the only 60+ minute ride I was willing to sacrifice, albeit very grudgingly. Now riding The Downward Spiral as a substitute to get back on schedule.

At the beginning of Who Dares I was updating my statuses and wasn’t paying attention when the first big sprint hit and I ground to a sudden and very hard stop. Lol. That hurt. Even at 60% it was still above my FTP. :boom:

Learned my lesson well with that one!

But I definitely must’ve burned a lot of matches in Violator because I was feeling toasted for the next 2. But started feeling better during Attacker. And actually quite fresh in The Chores. Tho, the sprints in Who Dares and all these MAP intervals in The Chores are definitely removing whatever freshness I had recovered. Lol.

I dunno how you can even type this clearly. When I did my 1 and only, I shut myself off from ALL social media, had do not disturb on my phone and only turned it off to snap a pic, and get back to it.

That one definitely took a lot out of me. But hey, I was motivated to never have to do chores ever again.


Now I just have to do these next ones because, there is no try. I’m hurtadoing.

It’s a sweat wicking headband. Basically the same tech material as a really good thin jersey. It keeps my head nice and cool. Otherwise I sweat so much that would have sweat in my eyes all the time.
