There are 31 KOS eligible videos (i know because i’m doing them all this month). And there are 31 days in October.
So, maybe the challenge will could be restricted to do as many of these eligible videos as possible at increasing intensity (with the the 54 hour Sufferlandrian Day rules in effect), up until Sufferlandrian National Day when we will all ride Kitchen Sink. The choice of which videos and in which order will be up to each individual rider. And 9H on day 11 maybe doesn’t need to be a requirement, but maybe it does need to be included at some point?
Dame Cristy, fear not, no one would be so bold as to assume it was ‘tacit’ consent, knowing no Knight would be so timid. We do profoundly accept you whole-hearted consent. Welcome aboard!
I gave this a shot this evening, with my already slightly inflated numbers; this is the result after 5 hammers, at which point I think my legs fell off and I found I had voided the warranty on them.
Dang. You got me, fair and square. I’m in. But October is a gorgeous cycling month here in Minnesota, so I can only hope that I blow up early in the course of these indoor shenanigans and can go back outside.
Maybe you can hope for an early winter??? OR, there is nothing that says you can’t do this challenge first thing in the morning and then ride outdoors in the afternoon. There will be nothing in the rules preventing anyone from doing non-challenge related efforts AFTER the real work is done.
Anyone who makes it through day 3 or maybe 4 has either picked too easy a route (GvA does not approve) or their numbers are out of date (the minions want to know why you’re not testing)…
@Jon I think I am more optimistic. I think 4 days is quite doable. Not sure what that limit is, but I am confident that carefully selected, the number is more than 4 by many. Could be wrong though.
As for “too easy a route”, the whole Sufferfest library is at your disposal. So that selection is as easy as you can do.
Why is everyone so pessimistic? I think a week is eminently doable. The whole point is the challenge of strategic ride selection, strategic use of the 54 hour window and sheer will power.
