This October, we honor the proud traditions of Sufferlandria with a four-workout challenge that embodies the essence of SUF. From sharp MAP intervals to relentless race simulations and all-day endurance grinds, each ride demands grit, resilience, and the courage to dive headfirst into the pain cave. With classics like Hell Hath No Fury, The Downward Spiral, and Blender alongside the punishing High Time, this month is all about celebrating SUF the only way we know how — by suffering, gloriously.
And don’t forget: SUF National Day takes place on the last weekend of October. Riders around the world will gather (virtually) for three solid hours of suffering — complete it to earn your official badge and eternal glory in the halls of Sufferlandria. (The timezones will be open from Friday to Monday if you want to start early or finish late, timezones are ET)
This session keeps you pinned just below threshold… until Sufferlandria’s flat, soul-crushing roads inevitably push you across the line, it’s a relentless test of control, grit, and willingness to flirt with the limits.
Intervals that grow shorter but harder as you descend deeper into the pain cave. This relentless format tests your ability to accelerate when fatigue should have the final word.
A brutal race simulation with sustained threshold surges and sharp attacks. This classic demands everything you’ve got to keep pace with the breakaway — and even more to stay in it.
Endurance, speed, sprints, and climbing — all blended into one massive serving of suffering. Long and merciless, this workout is the ultimate test of versatility and stamina.

Ah man, just when I’m injured. Hopefully will recover in time. And related to @HughG 's request, I there any SUF kit available to wear whilst not taking on the challenge?
Thanks @Rupert for the latest monthly challenge and for giving it a name that the citizenry can relate to. I’ll converse with some of my friends to see if perhaps the National SUF Day you mention can somehow be made into one our Knights Rides on Zwift so that those who would like, can suffer together on a banded group ride.
I rode HHNF this morning. Followed it with Open 30 at Z2 for a nice long endurance day.
Reminded me of my shenanigans a couple years ago when I rode various combinations of HHNF and Who Dares for a month post-Tour of Sufferlandria. Ahh, those were the days…
I noticed that as well this morning and there are only 3 MAP intervals in High Time….one during the warm up and and only two very short ones during the sustained effort. This has now been corrected in the Ocotover Challenge thread.
Ahah, did Blender on september 30th. What I love about the MAP efforts is that the FTP ones at the end feel way easier than they should after 90 minutes.
Seeing Mourey and Pauwels makes me wonder: how awesome would be a CX Pro-race video? Ready to run upstairs with the kickr on your shoulder?
The Downward Spiral in the bag. Last time was more than 2 years ago, whoa! What I like in this one is that I spend most of the MAP efforts looking at my stem, and when recovery comes, I look up and see pictures of cemetaries, Misery! I had no sound for a minute at the second 105 seconds interval, is it just me?
