Can’t connect my rival to Wahoo companion app

does anyone know why can’t I connect my rival watch to the app? I can only connect to the elemnt app but not the wahoo main app. Anyone can help me?

Any device with Elemnt in the name works with the Elemnt app. It’s the same for the older Roam and Bolt computers. Wahoo are in the process of combining their 3 apps (Wahoo, Systm, Elemnt) into a single one (Wahoo) and devices released since this process started ramping up are the only ones that pair with the Wahoo app (and don’t use Elemnt at all).

I’ve heard that Rival isn’t going to migrate and will remain on the Companion App, but yeah

The main Wahoo app is mostly there for their indoor trainers and sensors, and honestly, trying to force a Rival into it is like trying to run a marathon in hiking boots, it just wasn’t built for that.

More importantly for this discussion, it’s where you setup and manage a Gen 3 ELEMNT. There’s been rumors that Gen 1 and Gen 2 ELEMNTS are going to move from the Companion App to the Wahoo App at some point, which is why the Rival got brought up.
