Hopefully anyone can help me. My new Roam V2 worked well for about 6 weeks, but a problem suddenly arose with the connection to my phone. Since I am about to do a multi-day gravel packing trip, I am now a bit panicky. I cannot download maps/instal sensors/send route via app.
Issue: As soon as I want to do something such as setting a sensor, downloading a map, the connection with the phone is disconnected, then connected again for about 5 seconds and disconnected again and this repeats ad infinitum.
The strange thing is that during the installation (In trying to fix the issue i deleted Elemnt app from phone, installed it again and connected the RoamV2) there is and remains a stable connection between Roam and phone. (Although it is noticeable that downloading countries seems to take forever. After about 4 maps it seems as if the download stucks because there is apparently no more progress, in other words the list of countries/maps remains in queue status.)
What have I already tried:
I tried everything I could find on the internet to troubleshoot and think of myself, including:
- blue tooth tested for operation with another device (car radio)
- blue tooth reset on phone
- blue tooth tethering enabled
- factory reset
- looked for updates (firmware was already up to date)
- disconnected and connected again
- deleted the phone app and reinstalled it
- backup restored
- tested with another phone
I have a Samsung S10e
Shoot!
