So, I’d been having a few issues with my Kickr Core in the past couple of months - it’d connect to Zwift, but not send any data across (power / cadence), eventually after restarting / closing / opening / etc it’d start working, and off I’d go. At the end of my zwift free year, when I signed up for the free trial of SYSTM, it just didn’t play along at all - no data, no dice. Got hold of Wahoo, and they unexpectedly offered to replace it, including all shipping costs. This thing is 4 years old, mind! What company does that!?
So now I have a brand-new KICKR, a new zest for life, a new training programme, and imminently, new numbers. And even though I’m likely a Sufferlandrian for life, I’ll even stay away from berating them for the Wahooligan crap for one year. But just one…
So, I’m back, after a year-long sabbatical in the Zzzzz-lands of dozy quasi-suffering. I did NPLH this morning, and officially got my passport stamped. So good to be back.
Oh and, worthy mention: @DameCristy’s thread: so inspirational, and hopefully it’ll get me back to where I was in 2022 (after two meh years). This is what I’ve missed in the hinterland…

I’ve been a Sufferlandrian since 2015 and a loyal wahoo customer since 2017 and I’ve never had better CS than theirs
Imho, it’s the best in the business. The best in ANY industry as far as I’m concerned.

I have recommended people go back to Wahoo CS after having a meh experience or less than what they expected. They were surprised with the response. Way above what was needed. Not so with other companies.

Well, I won’t play down the WAHOO response at all; I had issues with my KICKR Bike V1 crank, they sent out replacement part right away, been good since.
But I have bought and used more than 7 different Garmin devices (2 HRM-Dual Heart Monitors, EDGE 830 with cadence sensor and wheel sensor (plus another of each sensor for a 2nd bike), 2 FENIX 6 Sapphire Pro watches (1 belongs to my wife,) and a VARIA RTL515 Radar/Light.
Being very attentive to device functionality, I’m probably more aware than many as to what my devices do and fail to do, so I’ve dealt with plenty of issues, some were the rather typical failures that occur over time with certain items, and others were probably more like the luck of getting a lemon device.
Garmin has replaced items well beyond warranty expiration, the latest was the VARIA 515 because mine kept missing vehicles it should have sensed and shown, and even tho’ this only occurred occasionally, like once or twice in a ride and not every ride, it still made it scary when it failed to sense and notify and left me unable to count on it.
Additionally, I now have a FENIX 7 Sapphire and an EDGE 840 replacing the earlier generation models, an HRM-PRO heart monitor, as well as a replacement wheel sensor and cadence sensor.
ALL of these were replaced at no cost to me, not even shipping costs, and all well beyond warranty period. Some took quite some time troubleshooting back and forth with Garmin techs, but I was willing to do my part to help and that goes a long way in keeping a good relationship working for both sides.
Do I wish they got the bugs worked out before release? Absolutely. Do I think that’s likely to happen in the real world? Nope. Their devices are as complicated as the people they deal with, namely, ME… and maybe YOU?
